Um dos mais icônicos movimentos musicais da história, o Live Aid que foi realizado em 13 de julho de 1985 e idealizado por Bob Geldof ao lado de Midge Ure, terá pela primeira vez as íntegras de seus concertos transmitidas nesta quarta-feira (28/12/2022) no YouTube.

A transmissão será uma celebração dos mantenedores do canal do evento no YouTube que chegou a marca de mais de 1 milhão de inscritos.

O Live Aid aconeceu simultaneamente em dois paises, começou às 12 horas (horário local) em Wembley, Inglaterra, e continuou no JFK Stadium (nos Estados Unidos) às 13h51. As apresentações no Reino Unido terminaram às 22h00, enquanto que no JFK a conclusão deu-se às 04h05 da madrugada e arrecadaram mais de US$ 127 milhões para as vítimas da fome na África.
